Holly was wed three times. Her first marriage was to actor Danny Quinn. The couple got married in 1992 but divorced after two years in 1993. Jim Carrey and she first came across each other in 1994, while doing auditions on the show Ace Ventura Pet Detective. Although she was not given the role, the two became close while filming Dumb and Dumber. In 1996 they were married. They split after just one year. The year 2001 saw her marry Francis Greco. He was an Canadian investor banker. They had three sons, Henry, George and Alexander Holly Greco. When she was married Greco the following year, she obtained Canadian citizenship. The couple divorced in 2014. split up. Holly and her three children live in Oakville Ontario Canada. Holly, Grant and their respective families established their own A Fund in 1992 at Hobart and William Smith Colleges to honor her brother Alexander. Holly described him as the "boy with a lot of hopes, ideas, hopes and dreams". Alexander was only 14 years old of age when he died, but he traveled across Central America and Europe, and lived in New York City, and Los Angeles. His experiences led him to study architecture and archaeology.

Alaina Suddeth is the daughter of Kristy Suddeth (Rossville, Georgia) and J. J. Suddeth. Her father works as an engineer for process working in Chattanooga, Tennessee.Alaina started to sing when she was three. Her first public performance was with a kids choir and the annual holiday spot which offered Karaoke. She sang at church and in eateries, on family holidays, and wherever she could within a 30 mile area. Two years ago, at the age of 8years old, Alaina participated in the talent contest at the Southern Stars Pageant and won. That year she was crowned the contest for talent of children at Chattanooga's Riverbend Festival. The festival allowed the contest on its main stage when she was 12 after she had played there for the past few years. She travelled to Orlando, Florida, when she was ten years old to compete in the American Model and Talent Competition. She beat out hundreds of children in winning the contest. Alaina was a part of the Georgia Country Gospel Music Association's Children's Group. Alaina was first in Nashville at age 12. She performed at local bars in Broadway like Tootsie's. Alaina was the winner in 2009 from Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park's WinniSTAR young talent competition. Alaina was in awe of singing by her sister, Holly Witherow, who was diagnosed with an brain tumor. Alaina was a CiC's Pizza employee prior to joining Idol. She attended Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School located in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, where she participated in the cheerleading team.
